Project Overview
Designed by Platt Architects, the Jabiru Health Care Centre is a vital healthcare facility serving communities within Kakadu National Park and surrounding regions. As the primary health service within a 200km radius of Jabiru, the centre provides essential medical support to local residents as well as visiting tourists. The facility required reliable, hygienic and durable plumbing solutions suitable for remote healthcare environments and high-use clinical spaces.
Project Requirements
As a key regional healthcare facility, the centre required plumbing and sanitary products that:
• Supported strict hygiene and infection prevention protocols
• Were durable and reliable for continuous use in remote conditions
• Provided safe temperature control for clinical applications
• Were suitable for specialised treatment areas including renal dialysis and dental rooms
• Complied with Australian plumbing and healthcare standards
GENTEC Solution
GENTEC supplied a range of healthcare-focused sanitary solutions designed to support hygiene, safety and long-term performance in clinical environments. STERISAN® Basins with Offset Waste and TEMPSET Point-of-Use Thermostatic Mixing Taps (MVPM10150) were installed across key treatment areas including the Renal Dialysis Unit, consult rooms and dental spaces to enhance infection control and safe hand hygiene practices.
NUGEN Sink Mixers (NGM3000) were also installed in staff areas to provide reliable performance and functionality for daily use. These solutions support consistent temperature control, reduce contamination risk and deliver durable performance suited to remote healthcare facilities.
