Complete the hygiene picture. Gentec’s electronic sensor soap dispensers are engineered to pair seamlessly with our sensor tap range – delivering a fully touch-free handwashing experience that eliminates cross-contamination at every step.
Built from zero-lead stainless steel (Grade 304) with laser sensor activation, Gentec soap dispensers dispense the correct amount of liquid or foam soap automatically when hands are detected – no touching required. Available in hob-mounted and wall-mounted configurations, with mains-powered options for high-traffic environments.
Traditional push-button soap dispensers become contaminated with every use. In commercial washrooms, healthcare facilities, and food service environments, that risk is unacceptable. Gentec sensor soap dispensers remove the risk entirely, supporting compliance with hygiene regulations and reducing the spread of pathogens.
Designed to integrate with Gentec SMARTEC Plus taps and STERISAN® wash basins, our soap dispensers are the natural completion of a full-system commercial washroom specification. Browse the complete range below.

Gentec sensor soap dispensers are designed for use with liquid soap. Contact the Gentec team for guidance on soap compatibility and recommended cleaning product specifications for your facility type.
Gentec soap dispensers use laser sensor technology to detect hand movement within the sensor’s detection zone. When hands are detected, the solenoid-driven dispenser releases a pre-set dose of soap automatically. This eliminates the need for any physical contact with the dispenser unit.
Gentec sensor soap dispensers are available in hob-mounted (bench-mounted) and wall-mounted configurations. Wall-mounted models are particularly popular in clinical and healthcare settings where bench space is at a premium and infection control requirements are strict.
Gentec sensor soap dispensers carry a 2-year warranty. They are designed for commercial high-traffic use and tested for durability and consistent dispensing performance.
Yes – and this is the recommended approach. Gentec soap dispensers are designed as part of an integrated washroom hygiene system alongside GPURE® SMARTEC Plus sensor taps and STERISAN® wash basins. This system approach supports infection control accreditation and simplifies procurement through a single supplier.
If there is no power to the soap dispenser, the mains power may not be connected or the power leads may be loose or damaged. Check the adapter and wall socket, and inspect the cable for any signs of damage such as fraying or splitting. Replace the cable if required.
If the sensor is not triggering, the sensor window may be dirty and should be cleaned using a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner. The issue can also occur due to excess ambient light or reflections, in which case the unit should be relocated or nearby shiny surfaces should be blocked. Additionally, ensure that the sensor cable is properly connected to the control board.
If the dispenser is activating by itself, there may be reflections or movement within the sensor zone. Adjust the mounting angle or reduce the sensitivity if the model allows. Water droplets on the sensor can also cause this issue, so the sensor should be dried and checked for any water ingress.
If no soap is being dispensed, the soap being used may be too thick or too thin, so it is important to use soap within the recommended viscosity range. An airlock in the soap tube can also prevent dispensing, and the system may need to be primed using the manual pump or prime button if available. Check that the soap reservoir is not empty and refill it if necessary. A clogged nozzle may require removal and soaking in warm water (below 40°C) with mild detergent. If soap has hardened in the lines, flush the system with warm water and re-prime it. If the pump motor is not activating, listen for an audible click; if there is none, the pump module may need to be inspected or replaced.
If the dispenser is operating inconsistently, it may be installed near shiny taps or basins that interfere with the sensor, so repositioning the unit or adding matte surfaces around the sensor can help. The soap bottle may also not be seated properly, so it should be reseated and the cap or valve checked for correct installation. Misalignment of the sensor angle can also cause inconsistent operation, and adjusting the mounting bracket or orientation should resolve the issue.
